After graduating from the University of Denver in 1992 with degrees in French and art, Katie Swats began her professional life with a strong background in design and art history. She worked in marketing and advertising in Chicago and Denver from 1992 - 2000 and credited those industries with fine tuning her cultural eye. In 2000 she re-discovered her passion for interior design and went back to school to learn all of the technical elements of the field. Understanding everything from construction to AutoCAD to material fibers has aided her in helping clients with all aspects of interior work. While attending school she worked for residential and commercial design firms before setting off on her own with an interior design degree in 2005. She is a current allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers.

Katie loves to represent her client's personalities in their homes while updating and modernizing their styles. The highest compliment she has received is from a client's friend who exclaimed when first seeing her renovation, "this looks like you!"
